FRANCE
IS THE PLAYGROUND OF ALISON ENGLAND. AND THE FRENCH ADORE HER!
PARIS. Alison England as MISSIA PALMIERI in LA VEUVE JOYEUSE in Besiers, France turned the French world of classy-casual opera upside down. The French are confused. She confuses the hell out of them and they don't know what to do with her! Alison England, an American Opera Diva in Paris reigning over the French Opera Kingdom? C'est impossible fiston! But it is happening. She is taking France by storm. On Sunday, Alison is the sublime Diva. On Monday, she is the fervent fund raiser for French churches. On Tuesday, she teaches voice, drama, opera. On Wednesday, she improvises, what ever comes up and out and she does it well, her way. What way? God knows, but everybody is happy. Who dares to argue with an Opera Diva in Paris? The Yanks? Forget it. They are still mourning the loss of Johnny Carson or listening to Dr. Ruth. Especially know that Ruth came up with a new book "The Art of Arousing your Partner". Give me a break! So, the Yanks are getting a lesson in educational sex. They have no time for Alison. But this is not totally true, for Alison has been invited back to the United States to perform in major opera and operetta productions in California, New York and London, if you can count London as an American city, since Tony Blair officially declared a full allegiance to President Boooo sh, sorry, Bush and Candle Liza, sorry Candoleezza Rice...
